Mother’s Day Recognition
In honor of Mother’s Day, New Philharmonia would like to recognize and applaud the mothers of our musicians, many of whom played a pivotal role in guiding their children towards music. New Phil is extremely grateful for the many sacrifices our mothers have made over the years, and equally grateful for these generous donations made in their honor. Thank you!
In loving memory of my mom, Edythe Montgomery who along with my dad, always supported (and put up with my endless practicing!) my love of the flute.
In memory of my mom, Lil Doyle, on Mother”s Day. In loving memory of Charles R. Lorant and Alan R. Pearlman.
In memory of my mother, Marjorie Gram, who gave me my first violin and Roberta Riemer, who gave me my first violin lessons.
Julia Wong & Eric Cortell
In recognition of all of the moms through the ages, who have made efforts and sacrifices for music education.
Thank you, Mom (Shari Nierman), for sharing your love for music with me.
In honor of my mom, Patricia Fiske, who tolerated hearing me hack away at the Mendelssohn Concerto every day of the lockdown after the blizzard of 1978, and still prefers not to listen to it.
My mom nurtured my love for and interest in music since I was 11. She”s passed now for some time and I think about her constantly.
